Community Events and Notices

The Circle English conversation group meets Tuesdays from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Meet new people, practice English, boost your confidence.

Knitting and English Conversation. In collaboration with KCHC, meet new friends and practice english. Beginners are welcome! Wednesdays between 1 – 2:30.

English Conversation Group. Fridays between 10:00am and 11:00am starting February 2, 2018. All are welcome! Come out to practice english, learn new things and meet new people.

Parent and Tot Drop-in. Come for some social time for you and your little one(s) during the day at our Parent and Tot Drop-in on Thursdays at 10:00 am. We've got a play mat and a selections of toys for your toddler to enjoy.

Kids' Time.  Looking for something fun for the kids to do that is indoors, close to home, and is free? Come to Unit 6-102 for our weekly Kids' Time on Wednesdays at 6:30 to 7:30pm. The program will vary in structure and content from week to week but may include such activities as playing games, reading stories, singing songs, learning common phrases in different languages and playing with a selection of toys.

Saturday April 28, 2018. Learn how Physical Literacy and Play are important to your child under the age of 5. Register for this free workshop for parents by April 21, 2018.

Tuesday April 24, 2018. Crafternoon with Amy. Where origami meets scrapbooking. Make a paper accordian memory book.

Sunday April 15, 2018. Come join us for coffe, cake and conversation about death at our Death Cafe. Share your thoughts and beliefs. This is not grief therapy but rather a safe place to dicuss the topic in an effort to make living more meaningful.

Thursday April 5, 2018. Learn about preventing and treating neck and back discomfort from a registered physiotherapist. 7:00 pm in 06-102

March 22, 2018.  Join us at 06-102 for Bring Your Thing. Bring an object, picture or share a story with the group. The theme this month is "What is your story?"

Monday March 19, 2018. QUIC is presenting a workshop on What you need to know on working, taxes and traveling in Canada. Come out for some great information between 5:30pm and 7:30pm in 06-102.

Thursday March 8, 2018. Let's join together to celebrate International Women's Day. Bring a picture of a woman that has inspired you. We will also have a treasure swap. Bring something you no longer use to trade for something new to you. March 8th at 1:30 in 06-102.

Friday February 16, 2018. Understanding Mental Health Workshop at 1:30. Need to know basics for wellness and relaxation.

Friday February 2, 2018. Join other kids for some fun "groundhog" activities. 1:30 to 3:00

Thursday February 1, 2018 @ 7:00pm Board Game Night.  Bring your favourite  board game or try something new.

Nov 15 and 18, 2017 – If An Clachan were a blank canvas what would you paint? Let's discuss future opportunities for you and your family and our community.

Nov 16, 2017Where do Youth Fit In? Enjoy an activity and discussion about future youth initiatives at 6-102 between 4pm and 5:30pm.
